This recent campaign by Clemenger BBDO Adelaide, Australia put this theory to the test. The fact is that once people actually try this snack they end up buying them. So the company wanted to create new and exciting ways for people to try the snack. Can we get people to try the snacks in a fun way that will have them sharing and telling their friends?
The result of this creative thinking was the Delite-O-Matic vending machine that was placed in an Australian shopping mall to dispense free snacks to people only if they hit the button. This is a new twist to the traditional marketing ploy of handing out free samples. The twist is making people complete challenges in order to receive the prize.
